How charges work

If the blockage turns out to be in the drain rather than the toilet or the pipe behind it, it becomes drainage work, which is charged at Rate B. The engineer will tell you before carrying on.
Usually. Most faults come down to a valve, seal or connector, and these can be replaced individually.
It's best not to, as each flush can push water over the rim. Use another toilet if you have one until the blockage is cleared.
Yes. We repair and replace macerator units, including Saniflo models, which are common in basements, loft conversions and small en-suites.
No. An emergency costs the same as any other call-out in the same time band. You pay for the time of day, not the word "emergency".
Travel within the area we cover, attendance, diagnosis and the first 60 minutes of work. After the first hour, time is charged in 30-minute blocks at the extra-time rate for the same band.
