FAQs
Sludge, a mix of rust and debris, settles in the lower part of the panel and blocks the flow. Flushing that radiator, or power flushing the whole system, usually brings back even heat.
Not usually once rust has made pinholes in the panel, as the metal is thin and more holes tend to follow. The engineer will recommend a replacement and confirm the price before fitting one.
Usually not. Closing the valves on either side isolates the radiator, so most repairs can go ahead without draining the house, unless those valves won't shut off.
Yes. Moving a radiator means extending or rerouting the pipework, so the engineer will look at the route and talk you through the work before starting.
No. An emergency costs the same as any other call-out in the same time band. You pay for the time of day, not the word "emergency".
Travel within the area we cover, attendance, diagnosis and the first 60 minutes of work. After the first hour, time is charged in 30-minute blocks at the extra-time rate for the same band.
