FAQs
Gas safety for landlords
How often do I need a Gas Safety Certificate?
Landlords must have every gas appliance, fitting and flue they provide checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer every 12 months.
What do I need to give my tenants?
A copy of the gas safety record must be given to existing tenants within 28 days of the check, and to new tenants before they move in. Keep each record for at least two years.
What's checked?
Each gas appliance is checked for safe operation, correct gas pressure and burning, ventilation and flue performance. Any faults are explained, and we'll quote for any repairs needed.
Can you deal with my tenant directly?
Yes. When you book, choose landlord or agent and add the tenant's contact details and any access notes in the access notes field.
